Composition

This video displays the rule of thirds as the actor begins at the left third of the video and ends up on the right third of the video when it is done. The still camera is meant to emphasize the movement of the person the audience is meant to naturally follow with their eyes, from left to right. The acting/body movements is then brought in to display his frustration and hopefully make the audience wonder "why is he so upset?"

This video is an example of standard focus as the camera follows the boy while the scenery ahead is slightly blurred. Unlike the previous video, the camera utilizes a dolly shot while the character walks down the road. It is meant to demonstrate the long "road" that the character has ahead of him, yet the slight blur adds a sense of uncertainty as the audience can make out what is fully ahead of him due to the blur and position of the camera. Therefore, his "future" is uncertain.

This video is showcasing deep focus. The clear, sharp foreground, middle ground, and background is perfectly in frame while the girl in the video is swinging her feet. The camera position is very much alike to the first video as it shows the character in relation to the background (long shot). The audience is meant to interpret the scene as the protagonist being really interested/entertained by what is in her phone. This could, hopefully, lead the audience to being to wonder "what is on that phone?"
This video is exhibiting shallow focus as the girl's reflection in the mirror is the only thing fully in focus. Everything around the mirror is fully out of focus and it naturally guides the eye towards the center. The camera work, like the over-the-shoulder shot, creates a unique perspective as the character herself is not the focus of this video. It is the "reflection" of her, or better said the way she perceives herself at that moment while she inspects her facial features. The way the audience knows she's inspecting her face is through her posture as well as the hand movements. The audience should be feeling a little concerned due to the character's blank face, which makes it hard to read whether or not she likes what she sees.
This video fully presents the focus pull. The camera beings focused on the girl in the foreground, and then suddenly focuses on the banner in the background when the girl looks over her shoulder at the banner. The change from the character to the ying-yang represents the inner balance that she is feeling at the moment. The audience may feel happy for her and her current inner peace.
