Set: Abandoned Diner 
For this set, I decided to include a rundown diner that has gone out of business. To drive this point home, I included a nasty fridge, disgusting sink, messy front area, and a rodent. I used these images to demonstrate the horrendous conditions of the place and to make it seem as abandoned as possible. The color of the walls and signpost that says "diner" to make the audience think about it as an older, 1900s diner. I wanted the audience to assume it was an establishment that fell out of business and was simply just abandoned by the owners, town, and people. The terrible conditions were emphasized purposely in hopes of making the audience feel disgusted.

Set: Gated Community
To represent a gated community, I believed it was necessary to show a bright atmosphere with kids playing around and a modern house to demonstrate that it is a wealthy neighborhood. The kids playing on the street was made to show that the neighborhood is very secure as most parents would not allow their young child to play on the street. I wanted the audience to feel like "oh I would like to live in that area." Essentially trying to make them feel welcomed and making the area seem comfortable. 

Set: Hospital Rush
On this mood board, I wanted to portray a hospital after a severe natural disaster. I decided to show a long waiting room within a large major hospital with a full parking lot and multiple people being rushed in/or being treated in the hospital. The scenery is bright and this was done to show the urgency in the situation and how suddenly it might've occurred. I wanted the audience to sympathize with people who go through these sort of disasters and the harsh workloads that can suddenly be forced onto hospital employees. 

Set: Mall After hours
In this scene, I decided to show a mall at night with a security guard and his security office. Additionally, I included an empty parking lot to show how secluded the mall truly is. The last photo was the white eyes, shown to make the viewer feel eerie and uncertain about the security guards safety. I want the audience to assume that the security guard is in danger but completely unaware of it.

“The Entity After Hours” https://youtu.be/uISgY-24Fkw My favorite thing about this opening sequence is the lighting while they sneak into the classroom. The red from the emergency exit sign created a suspenseful feeling. The Dutch angles made it feel like someone or something was watching them. The dark lighting was great as well, making the red signs pop out more and create a sort of dangerous atmosphere. This was also during the time they started talking about there being a ghost in the school, setting up the premise of the film. I wasn’t the biggest fan on the master shot towards the end though. I will say that the zoom-in they used made it a bit better and the ending itself was very good at making me wonder “well what happened?!” The diegetic sounds at the end really added to the overall sense of looming danger that was already present. I have completed the 10 camera shots/angles project.  #1 This video is a POV and high-angle as well which shows my perspective as I look down at my little siblings. #2 This is a wide shot that shows the how messy the house is and the kids' helping to clean up, although they're not very enthusiastic.  #3 This is an establishing shot that demonstrates the outside of my house (my neighborhood) . #4 This is a ground level shot that demonstrates the mess the kids made and them cleaning it up. It also creates a perspective that makes them look larger. #5 This is a full body shot of my little brother sleeping, he is deep asleep but also cold which is shown by the body language. #6 This is a Eye level shot of me turning on my Playstation 5, finally taking a break from my siblings. #7 This is a extreme close up shot of my little brother chewing a chip. #8 This is a two-shot as it shows my little brother teaching my sister how to play rock-paper-scissors. #9 This video is a low an...

Title Sequence

When creating our title sequence, the group wanted to make sure that the aspects of it aligned with the theme/premise of the movie and would fit in well. This is why we chose the simplistic, thin font for the actors names and the title of the movie. It worked well and we believed it added to the clinical and sort of sterileness that could be found inside a therapist's office.  The title itself is colored red as it is meant to demonstrate the possible danger in the protagonist and hints towards the main conflict of the movie, the "gaps" in her memories. This makes her an unreliable source and makes the audience warry of whatever she says/does. The title itself, "Mind the Gaps," is representative of the plot and weird glitches that are demonstrated within the movie.
